Suggested panel topics include but are not limited to hardware-software co-design, hybrid quantum-classical computing, NISQ applications, post-quantum cryptography, quantum programming education &amp; training, quantum workforce training, or frontiers of quantum information science &amp; algorithms. The goal is to gather a set of diverse researchers and practitioners in sharing their insightful perspectives and engaging the broader community in a dialogue. By submitting a panel proposal to IEEE Quantum Week 2021, you are making a commitment to register for the Technical Program and attend the conference upon acceptance of your panel proposal.<\/li>\n<li>Please note, IEEE Quantum Week 2021 cannot guarantee to honor specific requests for holding the panel on specific dates.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The panel abstract \u2014 title, abstract, and panelists \u2014 will be included in the proceedings of the IEEE International Conference on Quantum Computing and Engineering (QCE21).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Panel Proposal Submission Format<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Each panel\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">proposal must conform at the time of submission to the\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1rem; background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ieee.org\/conferences\/publishing\/templates.html\">IEEE Formatting Instructions<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">(i.e., title in 24pt font and full text in 10pt type, LaTEX users must use \\documentclass[10pt,conference]{IEEEtran} without including the compsoc or compsocconf option). The submission must also comply with the<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1rem; background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/journals.ieeeauthorcenter.ieee.org\/become-an-ieee-journal-author\/publishing-ethics\/\">IEEE Policy on Authorship<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bolder; font-size: 1rem;\">Each panel proposal must include the following sections in one PDF file and in the order specified below. Sections 1-9 must not exceed four (4) pages. Each proposal must be submitted via the\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"background-color: #ffffff; font-weight: bolder; font-size: 1rem;\" href=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=qce21\">EasyChair submission website<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: bolder; font-size: 1rem;\">. The call for papers and proposals can also be found on<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: bolder; font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"background-color: #ffffff; font-weight: bolder; font-size: 1rem;\" href=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/cfp\/QCE21\">EasyChair CFP<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: bolder; font-size: 1rem;\">.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Please submit<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; font-weight: bold;\">ONE PDF file<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">that includes all components of the proposal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Each proposal must include the following sections, in the order specified below:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"><b>Panel title<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u2014 descriptive and attractive to potential participants.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Panel abstract<\/b> \u2014 200-250 words to be posted on QCE21 website.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><b>Panel authors<\/b> \u2014 Contact information for all panels organizers, <b>main panel contact, panel moderator<\/b>, specify, tentative panel participants; please check with your potential panelists before submitting a proposal \u2014 panel organizers must check with the people listed on the panel submission whether they agree to serve as panelists for the proposed panel; each listed panelist will receive an email upon submitting the panel proposal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Panel motivation and objectives<\/b> \u2014 how will this panel engage the audience and how will the audience benefit.<\/li>\n<li><b>Panel relevance<\/b> \u2014 relevance to the fields of quantum computing and\/or quantum engineering (e.g., relate to QCE21 topics)<\/li>\n<li><b>Panel proposal<\/b> \u2014 detailed panel proposal and\/or panelists\u2019 position statements<\/li>\n<li><b>Panel audience<\/b> \u2014 what is the target audience \u2014 ideally a mix of participation from industry, government, and academia<\/li>\n<li><b>Panelist biographies<\/b> \u2014 brief biography of each panelist, including relevant past experience panel organizer, moderator or panelist \u2014\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1rem; background-color: transparent;\">200-250\u00a0words per panelist\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">to be posted on the QCE21 website.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Diversity <\/b>\u2014 address the diversity of the proposed panelists; diversity if critical for an IEEE conference panel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<h3 style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont,;\">Important Panel Proposal Submission Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 16px; background-color: #ffffff;\">\n<li style=\"font-size: 16px;\">All participants, including Panel organizers, invited speakers, and invited guests, must register for the IEEE Quantum Week 2021.
