An application for a visa can be a lengthy process. An eTA or TRV visa allows you to visit Canada for a temporary purpose, such as attending a conference.<\/p><p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/ircc.canada.ca\/english\/visit\/visas.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Find out if you need a visa to travel to Canada with your passport.<\/strong><\/a><\/em><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><hr \/><h2>\u00a0<\/h2><h2>Visa Letter Instructions<\/h2><p>To streamline and expedite the visa letter process, please follow the two steps:<\/p><ol><li><b>Register for QCE26 and pay the registration fee in full. QCE26 Registration is scheduled to open on April 14<\/b> (World Quantum Day).<\/li><li><b><b>Once you have completed your registration and have paid in full you will receive a confirmation email that contains a link for you to download your VISA\/Invitation Letter.<\/b><\/b><p><i>Apply for a Canadian Visa as soon as QCE26 Registration opens in order to get the confirmation letter.<br \/>Don&#8217;t wait until your paper, poster, or proposal is accepted.<\/i><\/p><\/li><\/ol><h2>Applying for a Canadian Visa<\/h2><p>If you need a Canadian visa, you need a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/immigration-refugees-citizenship\/services\/visit-canada\/eligibility.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), also known as a visitor visa<\/a>.<\/p><p>Visa processing times currently range from 75 to 180 days depending on the country you apply from, so we recommend submitting visa applications well in advance of your intended departure date.
